Avocado
Hass

Largely found in Southwestern part of Ethiopia. It is harvested from May to October during the rainy seasons of the country . Hass is characterized by a darkish purple hue and has a sumptuous flavor that belies its smooth external skin.

Fuerte

Is our second type of Ethiopian Avocado. It is harvested between May and October, each year, the Ethiopia fuerte has a smooth green skin and nut-like taste.

Ettinger

It is harvested between May and October, each year, the Ethiopia fuerte has a smooth green skin and nut-like taste.

Nabal

Has a yellowish green hue and a much desireable deliciaous flesh. It is usually harvested between May and October.

Pinkerton

The only variety that is outside the prime season is Pinkerton, which looks like a pear. It bears a simple fruit with plenty of pulp and tiny stone. It is available between December and April. In short, all Ethiopia avocados are available seasonally and if you do not go for variety, you may get the fruits throughout the year.

A variety that provides a long-lasting fruit with very quality pulp. It matures quite fast and has local and international market appeal. Maradol matures in seven months with an expected production of 126 kilos of fruit, per tree.
